♥ Results Day!

Results are out today. One may say that my results are not satisfactory but I think they are good enough. My CGPA is 3.42. I’ll be aiming for 3.5 and above next semester. Successful people usually didn’t obtain fantastic grades. Grades aren’t everything especially in today’s world. I feel that sometimes society is too obsessed with grades and clouded their judgment of a person’s ability. Maybe it’s true that grades are the only benchmark that companies have in choosing the appropriate employees. But eventually it boils down to your ability to adapt (you will do things totally different from what you study anyway except for certain specs) and your personality. A degree is just a stepping stone to your first career. Of course, this will be different for specialization in medicine, law where grasp of knowledge are pretty well reflected in grades. I think I might not have placed so much emphasis on grades because I’m intending to start my own business. So please don’t tell me what to do or not to do. I know what I’m striving for. A word of encouragement will do and I’ll be thankful for that. So what if you obtained straight A’s when your character sucks. Competition starts only when you get into the society, not in school. That’s why I feel irritated when people compared results with one another of the same faculty. What’s the point? It’s you that matters. Asking about one’s result out of concern will be a different thing totally. If the intention is to compare, I completely detest that. I know that it may be human nature to compare, but I just don’t like it.

Thanks to all who gave me encouragement and support my decision in striving for another exchange program. Love you people!
