♥ Good News
Finally time for some updates. Was pretty busy the past few months to blog. I'll consolidate everything that happened into one post.
Some good news for myself and my family. I've received job offers from Deloitte and KPMG (Big 4 accounting firms) and i've decided to join Deloitte. So before graduation from NTU, i've secured a job position. Pretty relieved about that. Pay is somewhat attractive, hopefully the working environment will turn out good since i heard that a number of seniors have quit due to their managers. Left with one more semester to graduation. =)
Mini birthday celebration with the usual clique during the weekends of my birthday week. Felt really loved by all. Thank you so much for remembering unlike some fellow who conveniently threw it to the back of his mind. Received a mixer as part of the present. HOHO!!! i can bake things easier now.
Joined the Standard Chartered Full Marathon 2008 held on 7 Dec 2008 and completed in 8 hours 36 minutes. Not up to my own expectations but i'll try harder next year if i join. Whole body aching after the run but i felt really good about completing it. Like what one of the runners said, i can proudly say that i did something in the year 2008. Thank you baby for being there for me thoughout the run. Love you! Next marathon to look forward to: Sundown Marathon '09.
8 Dec 2008, 0504 chalet at Pasir Ris was a blast. So good to meet up with friends since they are all really busy for the past year due to army and school commitment. Though the weather didn't turn out quite well for our BBQ, we still managed to get some food done. INPUT = OUTPUT: Mr Andy Zhang claimed that he's the one to maintain that and indeed he did. The tray of food cleared off very fast la. And then came a pleasant surprise when we clear the BBQ pit to return to our room. A birthday surprise. I didn't expect any of them to celebrate my birthday as the chalet was held one week after my birthday. I was so blur to not notice the cake in the fridge when i went up to take drinks down. Baby had a part to play in it as well. He asked me to accompany him down to search for the lighter which in fact is in the room. At that point in time, i think i was too tired to think logically. So i genuinely went down to look for the lighter. So when i went back up and the class started to sing birthday song, i was really surprised and touched. I felt tears in my eyes but i held them back. So embarassing if i were to cry right infront of them. I've received a wallet(which i really need) as my present. It's really very sweet of them especially Zhu En. Thank you 0504 for such a memorable birthday gift.
I've sold my 1 and half year old Fujitsu laptop and bought a Asus EEEpc 1000H. After getting the bulky Fujitsu laptop, i realised i needed something more portable and LIGHT hence the change in laptop. Still trying to get used to the keyboard size.
I bought PS3 Rock Band set for family and friends to play (All thanks to the clique's birthday gift). It was really fun to play the drummer. Tried being the singer and i was totally out of tune(imagine a screaming chicken). I couldn't catch lyrics and was humming most of the time so basically i sounded horrendous. This reminds me of JIMMY LOO who tried being the singer. I should have taken a video clip. Don't ask me how he sound like. You need to witness it yourself. He refused to sing in KBox right doesn't mean we couldn't get him to sing for RB.
